11月13日讯 卡利亚里市长马西莫·泽达宣布，卡利亚里建造新球场的项目获得了批准。
马西莫·泽达市长表示：“我们等待了10年才等到这个消息。今天，批准新球场项目的决策服务会议圆满结束。从环境和景观许可的角度来看，这一程序也已经完成。这些许可通过区域单一使用授权、过去的环境评估程序及环境影响评价而获得。”
这是新球场项目批准的最后一个行政步骤，接下来将进入实际操作阶段。马西莫·泽达市长接着说：“我们将迅速推进下一步工作，一旦卡利亚里俱乐部提交新的资金保证计划，就可以开始进行各项工作，以发布国际招标、委托建造和管理新球场。”
卡利亚里的新球场将在圣埃利亚区建造，马西莫·泽达市长最后表示：“这不仅是举行足球比赛的场所，还可以举办音乐会、演出、大型活动。这里将会成为所有撒丁岛人共同的地标建筑。”
